The Corris Community Council represents the residents of Corris, Corris Uchaf, Aberllefenni and Pantperthog in local government. In addition to implementing Gwynned Council directives and addressing the needs of the local community, it is also responsible for the maintenance of such community resources as playgrounds, pathways, cemeteries, etc.

Members of the Council are residents who have been elected by members of the public. They stand for four years. Members of the community can be co-opted by the Council if there are not enough representatives from the various villages to stand for election.

The Council meets on the first Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. (with the exception of August and January). Council meetings are open to the public but the public may only speak to the Council before or after the meeting, or when the meeting has been adjourned (i.e. – when the Council meeting is temporarily suspended). Adjournments are at the discretion of the Chairperson.

Please feel free to contact the Council for the venue of the next meeting as it alternates between Corris Institute and Pantperthog Village Hall.
